Doing a fresh install of 11.10 on my Acer Aspire One Netbook with a screen size of 1024 x 600, there was one small glitch when the "Choose a Picture" dialogue extended off the bottom of the screen; so the buttons along the bottom were not visible. Overcome by trying various combinations of <tab> and <return>.
I would suggest that windows forming part of an installation process should have their buttons at the top so that they are always visible even on small screens.
