Still trying to get life out of 11.10.
Reinstalled using life CD chose the direct log in approach.
Chose the reinstall 11.10 to 11.10 keeping all user files approach.
I have grub and I have the boot straight to ubuntu after the allocated time frame is up - without login.
I have a pink screen - hard drive says it doing something.
Is there any way past the just a pink screen.
Used the recovery consul to check disk and repair packages etc.
Only have the pink screen now.
Suggestions?
