After I send an email in evolution I get this message:

The reported error was "Failed to append to mbox:/home/xxx/.local/share/evolution/mail/local#Sent: Invalid folder URI 'mbox:/home/xxx/.local/share/evolution/mail/local#Sent'
Appending to local 'Sent' folder instead.".

How to solve this issue??

Here is what I just did...

From Evolution go to Edit > Preferences
Edit your account
Go to the Defaults Tab
Choose the "Sent Messages Folder". You can even choose to save in your Gmail "Sent Mail" folder.

My messages are now sent and saved.

BTW, this happened to me after 11.10 upgrade as well.

Exact same problem - And it was most likely done during the upgrade. Since I was using T/bird and then finding I wanted to Backup T/bird but could fine a method - so now going back to Evo only because of the backup situation.

Suggest also that this post be 'closed'?

Thanks for the fix.

Hi guys and girls I am relatively new to the world of Linux so please bare with me if I show ignorance.

I am running The latest release of Ubuntu and using Evolution for emails.

I keep getting the following error message when sending email messages.

The reported error was "Failed to append to mbox:///home/phil/.local/share/evolution/mail/local#Sent: Invalid folder URI 'mbox:///home/phil/.local/share/evolution/mail/local#Sent'
Appending to local 'Sent' folder instead.".

1: What does it mean?

2: How do I fix it?

Thanks in advance.;)
