Hello, I beleive I have a quite unique problem here. I have laptop Gigabyte m1405 with intel card inside and a dock station with nvidia GT220. After installing ubuntu 11.10 for like 5 times without gnome-shell getting to work properly, i finally found out what caused gnome-shell falling into gnome fallback.

When laptop is docked, im using nvidia-current driver to get an image on external monitor - gnome-shell works. But when I take my laptop out of dock, the gnome-shell stops working. And when I remove nvidia-current driver, the gnome-shell works again, undocked.

Im looking for some way how to fix this, or how to temporarily disable nvidia-current (not remove, since installing requires internet connection and its pretty uncomfortable..), so gnomeshell works without dockstation.

Im glad for any suggestions, thanks!
Frox.
