One of the first things I always do after upgrading to a new release is to set the font size to all Gnome DE to 8px.

How to do it on Gnome Shell?

I think you need to install "gnome-tweak-tool" and then open the "Advanced Settings" panel.

I actually love how gnome tweak allows you to scale the desktop. Brilliant feature in my opinion.
