I did a fresh install 10.10 and everything works great.
On this computer (new to ubuntu), for some reason things didnt go as easy as the many other installs I have done.
I switched bios to use my NVIDIA pci video card after installed, ubuntu crashes before the login screen, even in recovery mode.
Switching back to the integrated video card in the bios, everything works great.
unsure how to check for log errors with the NVIDIA card when it wont boot fully
I also attempted to install with the bios set for the pci card, but failed.
System is old.
