hi I know gnome 2 has gone out the window for gnome 3 and unity... for sake of speed and efficiency i had a open-box session with a gnome 2 panel that is now broken thanks to 11.10. from what i read it isnt possible to get gnome 2 back from repositories but can i re install it from an older Ubuntu install disc and if so how?
*note: i had gnome 3 and the gnome-panel/open-box session coexisting without any problems so i dont see why this wouldn't work
