Ubuntu 11.10 upgrade stopped in the midle

Hi,

I`m a new ubuntu user. I was using the ubuntu 11.04, and then I decided to upgrade to ubuntu 11.10. When the upgrade was ocurring the computer accidentaly shut down. I tryied to start ubuntu again but it didn`t work. Eventually it worked. I think there were some errors in the installation, is there anyway I can automaticly detect those errors and fix them?

what type of issues are you having when you log in?

The best I could reccomend is to check for package updates:


sudo apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
