On a 64 bit system, 11.10 does not suspend. I get a purple screen with the Ubuntu splash screen and everything freezes. And I need to do a restart. Any thoughts?

The cause of my laptop not suspending was the virtualbox kernel modules. I added the following script (/etc/pm/config.d/unload_modules) so that they were removed when suspending, and now it suspends without any problems:

#!/bin/sh

SUSPEND_MODULES="$SUSPEND_MODULES vboxpci vboxnetadp vboxnetflt vboxdrv "

I don't have VB on this desktop. Suspend works fine on my laptop 32 bit with VB.
