Installed software, but can't find it on Applications list...

Hello friends,

I am new to Ubuntu, please be patient with me...

I just installed a software package... if I go back to the Ubuntu Software Center, it shows that the software has been installed indeed... but when I search for it in the Applications list, I just can't find it...

In what other way may I retrieve the path to this new package so I may use it?

can you tell us the version of Ubuntu that you are using?

What program did you install? If it's meant to be run in a terminal, it's normal not have a menu entry.
