I have Windows 7 installed on drive 1, and would like to install Ubuntu 11.10 on hard drive two, but continue to use the Windows 7 bootloader (I believe the correct term is chainloading). At any rate, what specific things should I check / look out for / etc. during the install.

Also, will I have to do anything special since this is going into an EFI system? The second hard drive is already GPT set up using the Windows Disk Management utility.

Thanks!

What you want to do is possible, but I believe there are better ways to do it.
Firstly though, you should do some searching for howto's regarding installation using UEFI. The process is different. There are a few threads on here giving some details.
