This has nothing to do with Ubuntu, or really computers at all, but, with the Linux community being what it is, I thought that most of you would want to know this.

The Media, hell, America as a whole, really, lost a wonderful poet, author, and journalist yesterday. Hunter S. Thopson took his own life on Sunday. =*(

He took his own life a few weeks ago. If you look at the link you posted, you'll realize that it's dated Feb 22, 2005.

But I agree, it is a sad loss. I was listening to talk radio that day-- bad idea. The neocons were talking about how he was a waste of space and that it's not bad that he's dead because he liked to diss the republicans.

You know why I don't even feel the slightest bit sheepish about not realizing that I was a bit behind the times on this? Because I'm too busy feeling sick about the fact that the media (Dark times when you can't even rely on the freaking BBC, either... =*( ) has driven me away from almost all the sources of current event to the point where something that is as big of a deal as this is was something that I found out about because I happened to be bored and went to erowid.org to read and waste some time.

Bah.


I'm actually suprized that I didn't hear something about this though on the one news show I do still watch (The Daily Show.) Acutally, that really suprises me... I must have missed it.

Oh well, I'm rambling. Sorry. kids.
