Laptop (HP6730B) wifi adapter sees every wifi network in the neighborhood, but will not associate with my access point.

Wireless performed perfectly well with very early alpha and beta 11.10. Last week it failed after kernel update, and very latest 11.10 clean install yesterday did not bring about a solution.

I'm sure the Canonical team and Ubuntu community will resolve this issue.

There must be a problem. If you do a quick search it seems like we're not the only ones. Mine is not working either. It actually knocks my router offline after being connected for a minute. I see some other users with this same issue.
Bug report?

This was my original post: "I've installed Wicd and uninstalled Network-manager and the problem seems to be solved" In fact there was a long 'peace-time', but now I'm having the same problems again. :(
