Installation crash

hello
i tried installing ubuntu server today but a file was missing in my installation so i had to stop the installation.
I re-downloaded ubuntu server and i tried to install again.
Now when i select the language and then choose to install i get a black screen and the lights on my keyboard start flashing.
How can i fix this problem?

What version of Ubuntu server are you trying to install? From what you describe I would suspect a bad download. Did you verify the checksum of the downloaded iso file?

I downloaded the 11.10 version. i already downloaded it again with a lan cable because i tought maybe the file could be corrupted by the wireless download but i still got the same problem
