I've tried to submit some changes to articles but I got this:

Sorry- we have a problem...
The wikimedia web server didn't return any response to your request.
To get information on what's going on you can visit #wikipedia.
An "offsite" status page is hosted on OpenFacts.

Is anyone else having trouble editing pages or submitting articles?

shouldn't this be better submitted to wikipedia? i have experienced slow serving times on looking up items though. and boy is it slowwww today. maybe you should try it out again in a few hours. then you can file a bug report directly with them here:

Wikipedia is always slow. Especially when your in the school library and theres about 15-19 people online with only 4 wireless routers between them.
