I can't code so there is no way I can do this, but how about starting a project that removes all the non-free parts of ones system that unbuntu installs by defaul? It could be like easy ubuntu but be called Freezy Ubuntu or Freesy Ubuntu? How about it? Where can I contact devs about this?

gnubuntu... it's been discussed, and may happen in the future...

gnubuntu... I like it. Where can I learn more? I would donate to such a project. Does this mean they will also remove multiverse and restricted copyright?

What non-free parts are there in Ubuntu? I thought Ubuntu used only open source software.

On the whole I believe it does, but the multiverse and universe repositories contain some non-free packages.

See the link I posted for specifics; there's also the "restricted" component.

The name has been changed from gnubuntu to ubuntu-libre and the website is can be found here https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Ubuntu-libre

The name was changed to appease RMS, because he felt ubuntu should not be associated with gnu if it provides non-free software, even if this particular edition does not.
