Update 10.04LTS to 11.10

I have a computer with 10.04LTS. I want to update it to 11.10. Problem is, the update manager shows 10.10 as the upgrade, not 11.10. Do I have to update one step at a time, or is something else wrong?

Yes, you will update to each version until you get to where you want to be. Otherwise, you can update directly from one LTS to the next LTS--when it comes out.

yes , you should go in that way it self.i think its better to wait for 12.04 , this is LTS.

Other wise give a try ,i am not sure about this, boot from live cd and go for installation there look that is it gonna asking for upgrade ?
