I normally prefer a clean install and dozens of help requests on this forum well explain why.
Now, I have one machine equipped with Kubunto 11.04 that I want to upgrade to 11.10 in a few days. The present install is relatively clean. No garbage from unreliable sources: all software comes from official Canonical repositories.
I am wondering if it has been reported a different rate of failures/problems whith upgrading fron the Internet vs. using the alternate CD.
Please do not consider in your answer the source media factor: the CD would be MD5 checked and the Internet connection is fast and very stable.
This said, which method has less probability of giving problems?
