Hi,
I've also upgraded via the Update Manager, unfortunately. I've tried a few of the things that have been posted but have had no luck so far.
As in this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1859951), I can't get into lightDM because my Nvidia drivers appear to be dead. I tried startx and xinit and it just told me 'failed to load the NVIDIA kernel module'...Yeh. I've tried sudo apt-get install aptitude but I think I'm not connected to the internet, because I get error messages when downloading. Any tips?
I've even tried downgrading to 11.04 using the LiveCD but the installer crashed on me :(
Any help would be appreciated.
