View Full Version : [gnome] Gnome3 Shell: "Global Menu" showing across monitors.

Hi,
(Ubuntu 11.10)
I have Unity (as everybody I guess).
Then I install Gnome Shell and login there.

I do have the top bar (panel) on one of my monitors.
On the second monitor I have just a dark stripe on top (kind of like that global menu in Unity).
I found that I can move the top bar (panel) between monitors.
That's when I discovered that the annoying dark stripe on top of the second monitor actually is the global menu (shows the menus on the left monitors). See attached.

The Help only has Ubuntu Help in it.

What is it? How can I get rid of it?

Also, is there any chance to have the top bar (panel) across both monitors?

Thanks.
