Hello,

I would like to know if there is any chance to install ubuntu simply by inserting the cd on a (normal) running session and choose a different partition.

I would like not to use the live session.

I found on the web lots of guide on how to install ubuntu on a usb stick, but no one teach how to do it on a different partition from the one in use.

Is it the same? Only changing the /dev/sdxy of the usb stick with the /dev/sdxy of the desidered partition?

I woulod like to do that because many times I have problems running the live session ... it hangs forever don't know why.

So I would like just to use a session of ubuntu I've already installed on my hd to install it on a different partition.

I hope it's clear.
Thanks for any suggestion
