Just upgraded from 11.10 to 11.04. but the upgrade crashed just after installing all the progs(coz it could not set up flash plugin updater and flash plugin downloader (definitely had something to do with flash)).
After i restarted the system (praying it would still be in one piece :P ) everything is working fine except that the upgrade has taken a chunk out of my primary file system (1.5 to 2 gigs).
I know that there is 1.1 gig of *.deb files in my /var/cache/apt/archives/
just wanted to ask if manually deleting all those files will be safe. And also is there any other location i need to manually clean up since the update manager crashed before the cleaning phase?

Awaiting reply, Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
