Hi,
I have just upgraded from Ubuntu 11.04 to 11.1. I have restarted and opened the update manager. I get a message there, informing me that I have to apply a partial update because there is some unfinished stuff. I do so, and I get the following:

Updating services.rdb...
done.
Configuring maximus (0.4.14-lubuntu5)...

And a message that, translated into English would be something like:

There are two possible configuration alternatives for `/etc/xdg/autostart/maximus-autostart.desktop´
File in the system created by you or by a script
File also in the package
¿What do you want to do about it? Your options are:
Y or I : install the version of the package developer
N or O : keep the version which is already in your system
D : show differences between versions
Z : run a commands examiner to asses the situation

By default, current version will be kept.

*** maximus-austostart.desktop (Y/I/N/O/D/Z)?

The question is: what should I do?

Thanks!

Hi again,
A brief update here: I have found in the forum that partial updates are something you mostly want to stay away from. Should I then do nothing (I mean, do not perform any kind of update) and wait until the conflicting versions issue is solved by the developers? Any advice from the knowledgeable buddies in the forum?

Thanks.

One full day has gone by and I'm still at odds as to what to do

Has anybody out there ever been trapped in this partial update dilemma? Or am I just among a lucky few?
