Archive Manager Not Supported | Upgrade to Ubuntu 11.10

I upgraded to Ubuntu 11.10 from 11.04. Now, I am unable to open Excel files! The format is xlsx.

Does anyone know a solution for this?

Try with Libre Office.

I'm using Google docs online. Even, it wouldn't work!

I too cannot open an XLSX now that I have upgraded to 11.10. That is, I cannot double-click to open it. I have to right-click and choose Open With... These quirks every time you upgrade Ubuntu bug me.

BTW... I found using Ubuntu Tweak the best solution for correcting this. It seems that the configuration file installed in the 11.10 upgrade associates the Microsoft file types with Archive Manager, and not Libre Office (Sorting on the Associated Application column was helpful.)

Right click -> Properties -> Open with
then choose to open with LibreOffice 3.4
