Hi,
I got Ubuntu 11.10 on a USB and when I boot from it on my HP G62 laptop I get a VERY dimmed screen.. it's almost like it's turned off. I can see that there is something there on the screen but I can't see exactly what it says at all. Same problem happened when I tried 11.04 last April. I'm running on 10.04 now.

Any solution?

Thanks

I not the best to help, but, it sounds like maybe your Graphics Driver?
I have a G-60 and it use the Nvidia Graphics GeForce 8200M G
I am not sure, yours may have ATI Radeon or something
Maybe if you can give some of your computer specs people can help more.
Applications > Ubuntu Software Center > System > Search > your graphics provider and see if there a Green check mark by what you may need? If, not may be just as simple as clicking an Install button.
I would feel better if you give your specs and other people with more knowledge add their comments.

Also; if the 10.04 works may see what installed on it for Graphics and then see if the 11,10 have the same installed? Just a guess.
