View Full Version : [ubuntu] How to change the applets in the panel?

I'm using 11.10 and I want to change the applets in the panel *(see attachment).

I was using Gnome prior to the 11.10 upgrade and I had the system monitor applet enabled, which helped me a lot.

If you're using unity, I have no idea. If you're using gnome-panel, hold Alt when you right click on the panel.

Have a look at conky, it is highly configurable and shows up in the backgound. Theres is a huge thread with .conkyrc configuration tips.

Thank you; I have been looking for a way to change the gnome-panel for a while and was afraid the upgrade had messed up this as well.
