View Full Version : [ubuntu] Create a live ISO of my already installed ubuntu/kubuntu?

Hi, i dont know if this is possible, but it there any way to take my ubuntu installation (with kde 4.7 SC added on) and all the programs and settings, and put all that into a bootable usb drive? in one ISO?

How much room does the full installation take up ...... if its over 8 Gig ..... the chances are it will not .....

Remastersys can make Distro ISO's and Backup ISO's .... check there site out. (http://remastersys.sourceforge.net/)

Unfortunately, as that link above points out, remastersys is dead. Fortunately, relinux seems to be the most promising fork of remastersys.

From what the developer of relinux has done thus far, and plans to do very soon, it should fully do what remastersys did, and then some.

Right now, it lacks a gui and a 'backup' mode, among a few other things, but it is progressing quite well.
