How to install driver under Ubuntu?

Hi ubuntu guys, I'm soonly going to install Ubuntu on Computer but before I've a question.
How do I install my motherboard driver on ubuntu, do I use my Cd/windows that I received with my Mobo or I need to find online linux driver?

Unless it's really new - it could be that you'll not need anything.

There's certainly a lot of oldish posts with that mobo referenced.

Boot the livecd/usb and see what gets recognised is the best course of action.

Simply download the iso file with Ubuntu. Make a boot CD or USB stick! Unetbootin is good to make a bootable USB stick!

Then run Ubuntu live from the CD or USB drive. During this session, you will get a feeling of Ubuntu. On most computers Ubuntu will run without any separate drivers. It is built-in :-)

Sometimes, you need a proprietary driver to get full resolution and speed of the graphics. Often you need a proprietary driver for wireless LAN, and for the printer.
