View Full Version : [xubuntu] Keyboard layout switch (question)

Hello people,

I'm seriously considering switching to Xfce (Xubuntu) with the next 11.10 release. However, if I remember correctly, the Xfce desktop lacks an option to easily switch keyboard layouts, either by mouseclick or a keyboard shortcut. (This might not be an issue in the USA, but can be really crippling in the multilingual Europe. :P ) Does the new Xfce release implement this feature? It's absence would be a show-stopper for me. :(

Hi,
By default Xubuntu does not have a keyboard layout switcher applet installed, but there is one available called "xfce4-xkb-plugin" and it is also a part of the "xfce4-goodies" package if you want more plugins.
