Hi,

I have a, currently unsupported, graphics card: NVidia GEforce 525M 1Gb. What happens when I try to start the installation process is that once X starts, the monitor just turns off.

The only solution is to use the recently released driver nvidia-drivers 285.05.09 which supports this graphics card.

Either I install ubuntu through the command line, install nvidia-drivers and then start X using this driver. Or I find a way to tell the installation process that in order to start the installation process, it needs to load a specific version of the nvidia-drivers.

Any suggestions?

Kind of a catch 22 , the alternate cd will give the CLI installation but it comes without a graphical interface . Good Luck http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/alternative-download
