Hey guys, I got a new laptop today intel i3 is the processor and it's 64 bits, I was running ubuntu 10.04 on my 32 bit laptop, today i was trying to install 10.04 64 bit but it wasn't working. I created a new partition and when it did before confirming it told me that it was going to make the disk from basic to dynamic. I tried to put the iso on my usb then restart but it went directly to windows.

Any help on how to install it would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Were you trying to install Ubuntu using Wubi? or the regular install (ISO)?

Regards.

I used Wubi and everytime I try to install it with that it begins to download the .iso.torrent when i already have the iso

Unfortunately I don't have enough experience with Wubi, but hopefully someone will pitch in.

Regards.

I think the problem might be that when I created my partition it made from basic disk to dynamic disk and now all the drives are "simple volume" they all have the green bar on top, where as on my other laptop it wasn't like this.
