Hello,
I got a problem while playing heroes of newerth which consists in periodic lag spikes at 1 minute intervals. These spikes last for 5 seconds then it is back to normal. This problem is present in 11.04 and 11.10 ubuntu but it doesn't happen in Windows. I run the game with a wireless connection using a TP-link 722n wireless adapter, which i understand after digging for a solution for this problem that uses an Atheros chipset. After much reasearch done i narrowed the problem to the network connection manager. After replacing network connection manager with WICD the lag spikes got a little less noticeble, but there are still causing problems.
I mention that i'm a novice user in linux so if you have a solution please write step by step guide.
