applets disapper in ubuntu11.04

Hello,
my setting & sound applets are gone. After loging in, a error saying some applets have problem & asked to delete but i didn't.

Dids = expand panel unmark , active cairo dock , hav awn .

I see this thread is marked as "SOLVED" but I'd like to know how this was fixed as I occasionally get the same error. After logging in, I get the msg that one of the applets on my panel failed to load. Logging out and back in "fixes" it but it shouldn't be happening in the first place. Using new install of Ubuntu 11.04 with gnome classic mode.

The issue is with panel not expanded. just mark expand penal & restart.

Interesting. My panel is already marked as expanded but I'll keep an eye on it. Hasn't happened for a few days now.
