View Full Version : [xubuntu] [XFCE] PrintScreen - GIMP Message - There is no image data in the clipboard to paste.

When you make a screenshot by pressing Print or PrintScreen in Ubuntu 11.10 Xubuntu session, you are presented with a screen to make a choice like so:

But when you choose to 'Copy to the clipboard', alt+tab to GIMP and go like edit > pasite, the system is 'working' for way too long until this message pops up:

Extra weirdness:

This is the case when viewing the desktop, or GIMP itself, or Banshee. (That's what I tested)

But when running the Opera browser, and it's focussed, doesn't matter, everything works.

Maybe there's more programs that 'toggle' whether this works or not, but the above ones are the ones I tried.

If this is a bug, I have no idea what package causes it, or what the reason is.
