hi,currently i have only ubuntu 11.04 as the os on my desktop.can i upgrade to ubuntu 11.10(when it will be out) or do i have to reinstall it?will it erase all my media files from my pc?

Release is scheduled for next week. "Upgrade" shouldn't affect personal files, but--
