View Full Version : [ubuntu] sharing properties disappear after rebooting in USB drive

October 7th, 2011, 07:12 AM
hello all,
I do not know if this thread should go in the "Absolute beginners talk".
My problem is the next one:
I have an external USB hard drive, which is permanently connected to the computer, which contains a folder that I share with "Sharing Options -> Share this folder -> Create share". I leave unticked the "Allow others to create and delete files in this folder" and "Guest access (for people without a user account)", because I use the corresponding user and password from the other computers of the network.
Everything works fine but, after rebooting, the folder is not shared any more, and I have to repeat the same process every time.
I would like to know if there is any way to maintain the folder sharing options after rebooting.
Thank you very much for your time and any help you can provide me.
Kind Regards,
