Online gamers have achieved a feat beyond the realm of Second Life or Dungeons and Dragons: they have deciphered the structure of an enzyme of an AIDS-like virus that had thwarted scientists for a decade.

Somewhat old news, but very cool. It would be interesting to find a way to increase participation in these games. Perhaps a social network version of the game? Smartphone/tablet versions? Imagine if everybody's spare time was spent advancing the sciences :D
