Okay, this disappearing of the scroll bars is really annoying, so how do we make them visible all the time. This is for Ubuntu 11.04. Sometimes when you're out of the window they show up and sometimes when in the box, what an annoying thing. I'm using the classic view. And does anyone know where the dictionary went. I like adding it to my panel but now I can't seem to find it anywhere.

For the scrollbars, see here (http://www.tuxgarage.com/2011/04/disable-overlay-scrollbars-in-ubuntu.html) - basically, you can just remove the package overlay-scrollbar, and they should be gone the next time you log in.

I just did a re-install of Ubuntu 11.10 and it looks like installing the gnome shell also fixes this. I haven't removed anything and my scroll bar looks normal again. Thanks for that fix, though that did work after using the synaptic manager when I did try it.

Unfortunately I was wrong on this last post, I just went into the help and I still got those weird scroll bars even after uninstalling the overly scrollbar in Ubuntu 11.10. It did worked in 11.04 though.
