I have moved my Ubuntu 11.04 installation from my old HP dv6-1230us laptop to my new Asus A53E laptop. I did this via Clonezilla copying the partition. I am now experiencing new problems, such as dual monitor issues, waking up from suspend, etc.
I am wondering if I would be better off reinstalling Ubuntu from scratch on my new laptop. I don't know if anything else happens during the install that would take my hardware into account.
