installing without cable internet connection

Hi everyone!!!
As I'm here I'm new to linux and have a problem during install.
My computer has no direct acces to internet via lan cable but I have this netgear usb dongle: wg111v2
I downloaded the install dvd of the latest version of ubuntu studio from another pc and tried to install on mine not cable connected.
Everytime I get error messages during the process and I end up aborting the install.
So my question is:
is there a way to install Ubuntu studio without a direct ethernet connection?
how can I do this?

Ok probably my problem is not a real problem since nobody answered......
I would just like to know if it is normal that installation does not work without internet connection
