Upgrading Ubuntu on a Dell Mini 12

I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 on a Dell Mini. 12. It's the original version that I purchased 2.5 years ago. It's served me well.

I'm considering upgrading and have 2 questions.

Should I upgrade and if so what version should I upgrade to?

How difficult is the upgrade process?

now if your version is that old i would recommend downloading the latest installation disc and making a fresh install of 11.04 natty narwhal. Since i do not know how troublesome it is for you to port your data, this is what i recommend if its easy for you.
