View Full Version : [ubuntu] dualboot

hello, I have a problem with dualboot, on my computer i have win xp pro (installed first and then i installed ubuntu 11.04. I installed them side by side on two different paritions. my problem is that when i start the computer it automaticly starts ubuntu and i can't choose which OS to use, how do I fix that?

hi, I'm sorry I didn't repy erlier but I was at school. I tried to run this program to get a report about booting but when i get to the password part it says that my password is inccorect and it is not! And yoes i have a liveCD

The easiest way to fix this is to run your live cd/usb and use boot-repair, unless there was a serious error during installation. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair

This also uses the boot summary that the earlier posted script would produce. Doing this from the live cd will get past your password issue and automatically post the results of the summary on the web for us to review. Just pass us the url. You can create the summary for us to look at before you have the program do anything else it you'd like.
