11.04 can't restart, but does shut down

Hi all,

I've just installed Ubuntu 11.04 64bit on my work computer and everything works fine, except that it hangs during the restart process before it switches off (terminating processes).

However, if I ask it to shutdown it does this fine...

Any ideas?

I see this occasionally, but not all the time. When it happens mine just goes to a black screen and stays there. I suspected some kind of acpi problem, but that's just a guess.
