Dear All,
I know the Ubuntu system requirements are pretty high to use old notebooks (i have the one with 32Mb of RAM).
Is there any installation of just console Ubuntu v 11 (i.e. without xWindow, gdm, etc)?
p.s. I know how to switch off gdm later, but I doubt Ubuntu 11 will install with 32Mb RAM - that's why I'm asking.
Appreciate your answers.

Sure, you can install the command line system using the Alternate CD. Hit f4 at the initial menu and select 'Command line install'.

My AMD K6 is too old for this i386 which in fact appears to be i586 :(
