I've installed firefox 7 beta using instructions that asked me to move the old firefox link in usr/bin and create a new one. Now want to uninstall the previous version, firefox 6. The onlytt instructions I've found uninstall firefox without regard to which one.

I don't recommend messing with the firefox executable in usr/bin.

Revert the changes you did and then use a mozillateam ppa.
