I'm sure people have heard about Onlive ? ---> Onlive (http://www.onlive.co.uk/)
It's basically cloud gaming, which means that given a good internet connection (5mbps and above) you can play top title games on any platform, there's even little box you can buy and connect to your tv, although I'm a little puzzled as to how this differs from a console, but hey.

As usual there is no linux version of the client, but they may support one if there is enough interest, at least that's what some people have told me, and that's from e-mailing Onlive and asking, so maybe this is a good thing ? it might solve a problem that linux users have, that being running games.

Yes it's not a native linux game and it's not making game companies take notice of the fact the linux users want to play games, and whilst you can get things to work in vm's and through wine (including the Onlive client, but it's buggy) surely this would be a good thing for linux ?

I say e-mail them, and let them know that linux users would also be interested in such a thing.

There is a way to get it running with wine (http://onliveinformer.com/2011/09/04/community-hack-allows-linuxwine-users-to-experience-onlive/). Quite buggy atm though. But I went ahead and emailed them anyway, can't hurt.
