Problems after upgrade

I just upgraded from 10.10 to 11.04 and I can't find my applications. Is that called unity now? I have my desktop and can launch programs by right clicking on a black doc and choosing open with. But I see no launcher. What should I do?

Hi simontroll and welcome, your dock control should be at the top left and you should have a menu down the left hand side as well. Pls post a picture of your screen if you can. :)
