When I try to install flash plugin 10. I get an error saying "failed to packaged files" check Internet connection. If I click more details I get the following message.

Failed to fetch http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/pool/partner/a/adobe-flashplugin/adobe-flashplugin_10.3.183.7-0natty1_i386.deb 404 Not Found

Failed to fetch http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/pool/partner/a/adobe-flashplugin/adobe-flash-properties-gtk_10.3.183.7-0natty1_i386.deb 404 Not Found

I have checked my connection and can download other software (including other adobe software) but flash refuses to be downloaded.

Any help or suggestions would be ace.

Thanks very much

Sam

Try the add-on at the link if using Firefox . There are a lot of update and installation errors appearing on the forum today , although I don't if they are related . There may be problems on the other end , which are usually temporary . https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flash-aid/

In Software Sources, try picking another repository to download from.

I have never installed Flash on its own, I just install the "restricted extras."

try typing in the command line

sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree
