in unity

well I started the thread about white and black background, so here next Q to this subject:

I unity, the surface where we are selecting apps etc, I think it is called dash, is always black. Anytime I click on anything like select an app, the whole screen becomes black with icons on it.
This permanent switching from normal view to complete black is very exhausting as almost anything needs to pass that black screen.

Is there any way to change the background color of this intermediate screen?

So at least it does not jump to this completely black screen each time (which again is less readable then anything bright at least for me)

The darkening here has no functionality, no reason, it is just done so.

any ideas?

have the compiz config manager installed, but most functions have so confusing names in it , hard to understand what it does in many cases.

I now have read some texts on this, so from this I assume I have to ask rather for changing color of a lens.

Gone through some obvious settings in the ccsm, but still can not find the right one, it does not say anywhere anything abt lenses there.

I find the black background easier to read. It also provides a better background to display the icons. I'm trying to figure out how to disable Oneiric's chameleon background and keep the black Dash that exists in Natty.

Someone said in the comments at OMG that it's possible via the dangerous CCSM. I don't know how though.
