Any graphics gurus out there know of any software or a plugin or filter for Gimp that will allow me to create a pointillised image from a collection of other images ?

I mean if i have an image,and i now want to reproduce that image pointillised from a collection of other images.

The effect is called a photo wall. Unfortunately I know of no GIMP plug-in to do it. There used to be an add-in for F-Spot that did that, though (if my memory serves me right).

ahhh ok photo wall, good to know. Yeah it dont need to be Gimp, i was just throwing that out there, im not a heavy graphics guy but figured Gimp to be the most used in the linux community.

check out aviary maybe?
worth checking out just because it's free.
web-based or not they have some power to their programs. i wouldn't be surprised if this was one of their tools.
